Wednesday we went swimming at lungo mare and tried to rent a
little 3 wheeler car so we could go to Pollara for sunset but the rental place
had already gotten rid of them for the season.
All they had were actual cars and scooters. So we went back down to
piazza where we found Aleccio and Gabriele having gelato. Aleccio taught me
how to scoot and we went back to rent one of our own. (you know you have a
real friend when she watches you learn to drive a scooter, not like it’s hard,
and then jumps on behind you on your second try within 10 min) The douchbag at the rental place refused to rent to
me because I was a girl. Now I know your probably thing he just didn’t wasn’t
to rent to me because I had only driven a scooter once (and did an excellent
job) but you’d be wrong. The asshole never even asked me if I had ever ridden
one. Well, im not really one to bitch people out but when it comes to sexism
you can bring it baby. Needless to say he rented to me and when I returned it
to him 2 days after I said I would he took it with a smile, a thank you very
much and a discount.
So back to the bike, we rode to Pollara stopped at the lookout
went to the beach
then watched the sunset from a cute little restaurant b&b on the cliffs.
When we got back home it was after dark and I was still not done riding that wonderful machine, so we got back on to go get ice cream in santa marina but they were out so we went to lingua where we got some delicious homemade gelato and then rode back home.
